Born 8 February 1970 in Stony Point, NY, Stephanie Courtney is a member of the Groundlings Theater commpany in Los Angeles, regularly performing in their sketch and improv shows. After graduating from the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City, she started doing stand up, and has been invited to perform at the Aspen Comedy Festival. She her sister Jennifer co-wrote "Those Courtney Girls", a show which she performed in Aspen.
The Comeback was a series created by and starring Lisa Kudrow as a former sitcom star trying to resurrect her career, and making a documentary about it at the same time. Courtney was in two episodes: "Valerie Stands Out on the Red Carpet", and "Valerie Gets a Magazine Cover" (Episodes 10&11) which aired in August, 2005.
