The CRUEL INTENTIONS Sequel, which NBC failed to greenlight in October, will not find new life at another network. Sony, the production studio, had shopped the project around this fall. According to Nellie Andreeva of Deadline, the cast’s extended options are up next week and will not be renewed, but there might be some interest in a "new take on the premise".

After Bash unearths his deceased father's journal where he chronicled all of his misdeeds, he takes his father's 1957 Jaguar Roadster from Kansas to San Francisco, where he meets his aunt Kathryn (Gellar), who is fighting for control of Valmont International and him.

The sequel will feature Bash Casey, the young son of Valmont and Annette Hargrove. Upon discovering his late father’s legacy in a hidden journal, Bash will be introduced to a world of sex, money, power and corruption he never could have imagined.
